Brianne on Community, Connection & What Makes Joyfully Said Different

There’s something special about walking into a place and feeling instantly welcomed—like you belong there.

That’s exactly what we hope every person experiences when they step into Joyfully Said. And a big part of that comes from the people who make up our team.

Today, we’re introducing you to Brianne—one of the friendly faces you’ll likely meet in-store.

Q: Tell us your name and what you do here at Joyfully Said

A: My name is Brianne Hazen, and I’m a retail specialist. I also help with donations and events. I think I have been here about eight months now!

Q: What brought you here?

A: I moved here about a year and a half ago from Western New York. I was really just looking for an opportunity to get involved in the community, learn the area, and make connections.

Q: What do you think Joyfully Said is here to do?

A: I think Joyfully Said is here to bring joy, truth, and light into people’s homes—whether that’s through wall art or some of our really cute and trendy home décor.

Q: What’s a common misconception people might have about Joyfully Said?

A: That we’re just like any other big store out there.

But what people don’t always realize is that our wall art is custom made—right here in our shop. Everything is created with care, and it’s high-quality, meaningful work.

Q:  What makes the retail experience at Joyfully Said different from other stores?

A: I think it’s the personal aspect.

We make it a priority to greet every customer and really welcome them into the store. I’m definitely a people person, so I love starting conversations—but beyond that, we’re genuinely curious about what customers need.

We do our best to help them find exactly what they’re looking for and make sure they have a really great experience while they’re here.

Q: Do you have a favorite wall art piece?

A: Yes! I was just thinking about this the other day—I really love Meadow. It’s simple, but the colors are beautiful, and it feels really peaceful.

Q: You help with in-store events—what do you love about those?

A: I think in-store events are such a great way to bring people in and show them not just our products, but what we stand for.

We want people to feel at home here. And events really help create that. They give people something fun to do, especially in a smaller community, and they bring people together in a really meaningful way.

A Place That Feels Like Home

At the end of the day, Joyfully Said isn’t just about what hangs on your walls—it’s about how your home feels… and the people you share it with.

And if you’ve ever stopped by the shop, you’ve probably felt it:

a conversation that lingers a little longer,

a space that feels a little warmer,

a moment that feels a little more like home.

That’s not by accident.

It’s people like Brianne who make it that way.

Brie helped me two days in a row while visiting in the area. At first I came in with my sister to browse and ended up buying 3 pieces of wall art. Loved what I purchased so much that I came back the next day to order two customized pieces. The warmth of the store and the friendliest of Brie made me want to get something special. I can’t wait to see how it’s going to come together.
